But By Me

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me. (John 14:6 KJV)

This might be one of the most important blogs that i may publish. I look around at the state of the world today. Well let me be more precise. I look at those who try to find their way to God. Other than the way that the bible teaches us. There is nothing wrong with seeking out God. However, when we try to leave the main ingredient out. Which is Christ Jesus. That’s where the problem lies. Some teach that it’s our good works that will get us into heaven. Others believe that just being a good person is enough to qualify us for the Kingdom of Heaven. I recently stumbled upon an actor who made the claim. That “there’s no one way to Heaven, no one way to paradise.” Which is in direct contradiction to what the bible teaches us. Jesus made it plain when he said no man cometh to the Father, but by me. Last year I had a conversation with my brother on this topic. I was telling him that we each have different testimonies, that we each walked different paths to get to Jesus. In other words, what may have gotten me to follow Christ, may not be what God used to get you to follow Christ, but the thing is that we had to meet Jesus to have a relationship with God. My brother gave an example, that i thought was so profound. He told me just as though you would want to get to my house and I live on “ABC Street” (not his real street) there’s many routes you can take. You can take the freeway, the back roads. You can come from the North, South, the East and the West. If you want to reach his house eventually, you will have to take “ABC Street” to get to him. He said there’s no way to get to his home without going down his street. The same is true for God. If we want to get to the Father, then we have to cross this Savior called Jesus. We can’t go around him. We can’t go above him or under him. No we must go through him. There’s no other way.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 KJV)

Scripture clearly tells us that salvation cannot be found in any other name but Jesus. So what does this mean for those who believe that there’s alternate routes to God? It means that they’re relying on a false belief system to get them into heaven. Truth is, that good works is not enough to get us into heaven. We don’t make it into heaven by good works alone. Rather it’s by putting our faith in Jesus. It is through him alone. That we are saved.

Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. (1 John 2:23 KJV)

What made me sad hearing this actor’s claim that there are different paths to Heaven. Was that he was essentially saying. That we really don’t need Christ in our journey. It makes me sad because he has such a huge platform and his voice can make such a huge difference in the lives of others. Instead he is leading people down the wrong path. With incorrect beliefs. The above scripture tells us that whosoever denies the Son. Has not the Father (God). Whether he believes it or not. The fact that he is proclaiming that there’s alternate routes to Heaven. In other words we don’t need Jesus. Shows that he does not have the Son. Therefore he does not have the Father either. If you have the Father. There’s no way that you could deny the Son. Salvation can only be found through Jesus. If you want to reach the Father and therefore make it into heaven. There’s no other way But By Christ.

God’s blessings,

HALLELUJAH. I am so glad that your post is clear, accurate and precise. There is only (1) true way, and that’s thru our LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.
Too many times we believe what big name celebrities say, Forgetting that they also must stand before CHRIST for judgement. Truly there is but one way and that is thru JESUS.
